An attorney by trade, Darrell Ranum has been part of the QUAD A team for 11 years, currently serving as Chair of the Publications Task Force. He works closely with the marketing department to select committee members and process article submissions for publication.
Darrell became involved in patient safety through his work with medical malpractice insurance. His fascination with providing safe healthcare systems led him to publish several articles on the clinical causes of patient harm based on medical malpractice lawsuit data. This desire to learn and share knowledge on patient safety provides QUAD A employees and clients with unique opportunities to better understand healthcare accreditation intricacies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology, is certified in Medical Technology and Clinical Risk Management, and is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management.
